The solution to stop bugs eating my mint and basil is working!! They are coming along nicely. Yay! Claire's tips in the comments of this post were really helpful. I now cut my basil my herbs instead of breaking them off and I water the tomato plants at the base. I'm learning, slowly.
Oh, that's wonderful Alli. My husband and I have been talking about growing herbs for so long now, and really need to just do it sometime soon.

Oh, you should! The netting is just regular old mosquito netting that you can get from the hardware or camping store & it's pegged to the edge of the bathtub. The bathtub has rocks, then pea straw, then soil. The other tip we got was to use plant food once a week.
